For "man of la mancha" i needed the sound of don quixote hitting the stage while off stage fighting windmills. I dropped a sandbag a few times, and added the sounds together. You can hear the slight reverb from our walls. I wanted the slight echo effect of the stage, so that the audience thought he really fell.

I was trying to record some "wind" noises with my mouth by blowing at the mics, when i came to close and my beard started to crackle against them. I liked the soudn and i actually used it later on some stuff - it's not a great quality recordning but it might interest someone. Sorry for the "windy" sounds at the start. . . I grabbed a metal mallet (mini sledgehammer) and dropped in on cement in various ways. Lightly and a bit harder. Recorded into my ntg3 in a garage sectioned off. After hours of searching for the sound of a guitar hitting the ground, i resolved to just recording a quick piece. This is a small sized guitar hitting the ground a couple times on a carpeted floor (recorded in logic pro).

I'm creating a progressive loop that starts out with plenty of space between the sounds, but get progressively shorter to the point of overlapping. This is the base sound.
